There are four levels of care that can be provided depending on what kind of home you plan to start.

The programs are designed to keep the residents close to home while allowing the opportunity to utilize existing community resources when possible. Group Homes are directed by a professional individual like a Social Worker . Together the team implements the program and coordinates treatment services to the residents and their families or guardians.
The program can offer a high level of structure in a family-style environment that is effective, humane, satisfactory to resident and cost efficient. Group Home programs teach social, academic, vocational, and self-help skills, increasing the resident’s ability to function successfully in the community. At the same time, work is done with the families or guardians to help create support systems for the residents so they can maintain progress even after Group Home treatment is complete.
Group Home stay can vary from days to months, depending on the need of the residents and their families. The Group Home treatment is integrated with other community services and individualized to meet the specific needs of each resident and family. This approach allows Group Homes to provide family style living in the least restrictive setting possible. Residents are normally grouped on levels of care.
